Week 3

Article: “Ink Corporated” – ‘IN’ Section (Pg 8-9)

Question 1:
What are some reasons stated in the article why some people choose to have body art like tattoos or piercings done on parts of their boy.
They wants to look different from others and they think that not everybody dare to do it so they are proud about what they did.They also want to be the center of the attention by being special by piercing and having a lot of tattoos.They also think that they are smart for doing so and they are willing to tolerate the pain when they are doing it and some do it because they are being influence by people around them therefore they went to pierce and make tattoos.

Question 2:
(a) What are some impressions you would form of a person whose body is covered with tattoo?
I would think that the person is a gangster and is someone you would not want to offend.But of cause for some people i would feel that they have tattoos as a form of art and creativity.I think people have tattoo as it is also a form of fashion and they think it is pretty cool to have one.I would also think that the person is quite vain as they had tattoos and if a person does not care about looks i do not think that they will even care about having tattoos.I believe everybody has a reason why they want to have a tattoos.
(b) Would you consider getting a tattoo in future? Why?
I would not get a tattoo in the future.Because it is very painful and there is many consequences.I had ever thought about having tattoos as having tattoos can probably helps to remember someone close to you.But after realising all the conseqences and the suffering just to make a tattoo,i decided not to make tattoo.Making a tattoo also cost a lot of money which is like a waste a money as that amount of money can be use to do other uesful things.

Week 2

Article: “Sharp rise in girls under 16 having sex” – Home Section

Question 1 (you may choose to answer either or both questions):

· State any two reasons mentioned in the article which contributes to the sharp rise in girls under 16 having sex.

1. having sex were a desire for a closer connection with their boyfriend

2. being pressured by their boyfriend into giving themselves

· What are some consequences which a girl might face for engaging in casual sex?

1. unwanted babies

2. diseases

Question 2:

What are some of your reactions after reading this article? If one day, a close friend of yours confess to you that he/she has been engaging in sex, what would your advice to him/her be?

I feel that this is a very sad thing because some girls do not seem to know how to protect themselves and prevent themselves from being taken advantage by the guys. I feel very shock when they say they have sex with their boyfriend because they heard that their friend are doing it.

I would advice her/him to stop doing that from now onwards and try to let their boy/girlfriend to understand that him/her do not wish to engage sex at this age. I will tell her that she will regret if she do not listen and that it is never too late to stop now. I will convince her that if her boyfriend does not want her anymore because she did not want to have sex,means that he is not a good guy and he does not love her truely.

Week 1

Article: “Tuition Crazy” – ‘IN’ Section

Question 1:
State any two reasons mentioned by students why extra tuition was necessary.

1. Teachers are too fast that they could not understand n catch up. With tution, they can move at their own pace .

2. Their techers are also a little too busy for them sometimes n some of their doubts are always left unclear. With private tution, they can ask questions n clear their doubts immediately.

Question 2:
Do you think it is necessary for you to have tuition?Why?

I think it is necessary if i am very weak at certain subject. Because having tution can help me to clear all my doubts about some questions. If i do not understand some questions,the tution teacher would be able to have time to explain it to me untill i fully understand. Sometimes i will feel very shy to ask infront of the whole class so having tution is easiler to ask question without feeling shy. Therefore i feel it is necessary if only you are very weak at certain subjects.
